Who can receive grants?
We provide funding strictly to 501(c)(3) organizations. An organization must have received its letter of determination from the IRS or have a sponsoring 501(c)(3) in order to be eligible.
Who can't receive grants?
Religious groups, political campaigns and loans or grants to individuals are not eligible for grants.
What are your areas of interest?
Our areas of interest are:
- Direct Service Programs
- Life Skills Training
- Leadership Programs
- Individual Development Accounts
- Employment Programs
- Vocational Training
Do you have a geographic preference?
We give geographic preference to Colorado charities, particularly
the Denver Metro area including Boulder and Broomfield Counties.
What types of funding requests are considered?
- Requests for general operating support, program/project,
matching, and technical assistance grants are considered.
- No endowment requests will be considered.
- We do not purchase tables or tickets for fundraising events.
What size grants do you make?
The Foundation awards approximately $100,000 annually. A limited
number of grants ranging in size from $1,000-$10,000 will be made
throughout the calendar year.

When do you make grants?
Letters of inquiry are accepted throughout the year. The trustees meet several times during the year to review letters of inquiry and consider which organizations will receive an invitation to submit a full proposal. Grants are awarded as proposals are reviewed and accepted.
When are your application deadlines?
There are no specific deadlines for submitting a letter of inquiry.
